Atari sketches

After years of practising to sketch intuitively I discovered the Atari computer as a tool to make fast and intuitive sketches, even more surprising myself than with my fast and furious hand driven sketches. Thanks to the computing speed of the computer I can not even remotely foresee what the sketch I am executing with my hand on the mouse of the computer will look like. The outcome of the quick procedures using 3d drawing programs like STAD always came as a complete even for myself. I was playing with the variables [parameters] of the program and tested many iterations, of which I chose the most challenging ones. Some of these I have used for larger work as were shown in the Gallery Liesbeth Lips in Amsterdam in 1988. A slice out of the white acrylic on black pvc was used as the graphic base for the patio housing project at the Dedemsnvaartweg in The Hague in 1991.
