The TANGLE series of 12 acrylic paintings on canvas [2014 – 2015] are based on impulsive intuitive gestures, put with great speed and force in a procedural mode on canvases that are spread out on the floor of my studio. The fast and intuitive gestures I call Powerlines, as if generated from a genetic nucleus containing simple rules into a universe of unpredictable entangled complexity. I use acrylic markers in various overlaying colors as to build up the depth and the transparency in the canvases.
